Default *Best facial moisturizer* What moisturizer do you use or suggest?

So its frigidly cold here in MI... and my face has gone to super dry, to "Oh My gosh feels like its gonna crack" dry... My regular moisturizer or makeup routine just isn't cutting it right now. This is the first year I've ever had this problem, so I just don't know if its getting a bit older, something I've changed in my makeup routine (I'm using the same moisturizer as last winter), or just that's its colder for longer spurts of time this year...

Regardless, what moisturizer would you recommend using?? I've just been using Dove moisturizer, the regular stuff you can get at like, Target. I've been using it so long, that I can't even remember what I using before it! My face has been so dry, that putting even that Dove stuff on my face BURNS (think chapped lips)... so the past couple days I've had to resort to Lubriderm lotion, which isn't made especially for the face... but at least it doesn't feel like my face is on fire when I put it on. I got a "spray" moisture enhancer made by Bare Minerals, and I thought about trying the Bare Minerals facial moisturizer (Rare Minerals skin line, I believe) - but thought I would check with ya'll first....

Any suggestions? My poor, parched face needs some help!!

I love love love Dove Deep Moisture Cream. It's about $7 from drugstore.com. Its much better than the Dove you can buy in the store. It's much more hydrating becuase it's a thick cream not a thin lotion.

    This one?
Buy Dove Face Care Deep Moisture Facial Lotion, Dry Skin Online at drugstore.com

That's actually the one I regularly use. I had the name wrong. Doh! I guess I already was using the "deep moisturzing" one, cuz I think this is the only style our Target carries. (And it usually does a fantastic job!) So now imagine... this stuff isn't doing squat & actually hurts right now!!

^nope that's the lighter one which is better for the summer. Hmm I guess drugstore.com doesn't have it right now.

    Here it is on amazon.

Amazon.com: Dove Deep Moisture, Facial Cream, SPF 15, For: Extra Dry To Dry Skin, 1.69 fl oz: Health & Personal Care

Very cool! I'll look into this kind then, since I know I've been able to use Dove products without allergy or agitation issues.

I don't have dry skin but generally use the Lush moisturizers - mostly Vanishing Cream and Paradise Regained right now. Di, you might try Skin Nanny. It's very moisturizing. You could probably get a sample from the Lush store to try first as it's a little expensive.

If you want to try Vanishing Cream, I have a container of it I got for free when we went to Tysons. I only used it twice. I'm not a fan of it.

My face is SUPER dry right now and I have been using Skinny Nanny from Lush and it is working. Clinique's Dramatically Different works for me throughout the year and does a decent job in the winter months, but Skinny Nanny truly gets my skin up to par when its below 40

I'll look into the ingredients on those and check them out. I have to be super careful with perfumed things, because they sometimes make my skin go beserk.

My usual moistuizer is Olay Complete lotion for sensitive skin but Ive been using Burts Bees Radience day cream with royal jelly lately, which is thicker and has been better moisturizing for me in the past few weeks since the cold has hit hard.
