Default Hermes Breeds Crocs for Bags

I am not sure how I feel about this, I really do not thinking that breeding crocodiles just for the purpose of turning them into bags is OK. I could understand if the little guys were dead already but to breed them out like that and be like ok you will be a Birkin or a Kelly, ehhh I dunno

In order to meet the demand for their leather bags, Hermes has succumbed to breeding crocodiles on Australian farms for the sole purpose of becoming accessories!!!

    Yikes!

Customers have been known to wait for years for Hermes bags which can cost up to $50,000!!!

    Outrageous!!

"It can take three to four crocodiles to make one of our bags so we are now breeding our own crocodiles on our own farms, mainly in Australia," says Patrick Thomas, chief executive of the luxury line. "Hermes already faces a major challenge producing 3,000 crocodile bags a year. The world is not full of crocodiles, except the stock exchange!"

    Oh, he's a riot!

What does PETA have to say about this???

I don't think it's right. It's sad. And I'm not exactly a fan of crocodiles either!

Aren't crocs bred for food and a source of meat as well. I think the way the story is told might be slanted. For instance I don't think the animals are just skinned and then the remains are thrown away. It is my belief that all of the parts of the croc are harvested meat being sold for food and the skin being used for bags.
