Thread: Cindy's Bag Borrow Steal / Avelle Experience

I know that the temptation of "borrowing" that bag that you only need for a week or so, the bag you want to get but know you wont really use, or you just want to test drive a new bag is a feeling that a lot of us have. But I personally heard horrow stories of bag borrow steal, but they are a company that is growing and offering some great bargains. I decided to sign up a few months ago as just a "guest member" because that was free AND I could technically borrow a bag if I wanted.

I was never bombarded with emails to "upgrade" so that pleased me. It left me wondering "ok they arent begging me to upgrade, thats a good thing" so today I upgraded. Why? To share the borrowing experience with you all.

I upgraded to a 3 month membership which is on auto renewal (found this out in the email confimation which I am SO glad they told me about). I used my PayPal debit card because I didn't trust Bag Borrow Steal enough to leave my Visa/Amex with them.

Soon I shall receive a LV Damier Azur Speedy. My reasons for choosing this bag to borrow were the following:

• Handles will show me how much the bag was used and the quality of care that the bag was put through before I got it
• The light interior will let me see any stains in the bag and I can easily see hair, food crumbs, etc.
• Its a Diva range, so its higher than trendsetter and princess, so I am wondering if this will influence the quality and shipment of the bag
• This is a bag that I will do a "Steal It" so I can let you all know how that process is like.

I chose to get the insurance which is 4.00/week because frankly, its worth it BUT it doesnt cover lost or stolen bags (understandble because some people would lie that the bag was lost just to keep the bag).

I borrowed it for 30.00 for one week, 9.95 shipping, and 4.00 insurance. Te shipping price is considered "round trip" so luckly I don't have to pay to send it back. Total = 43.95 and its worth every penny to share this experience with you all

When I checked out, I was given a promotional code only good for 24 hours. I would get 25% off a second amazing accessory by entering Again3248 when you borrow. (I HAVENT USED IT SO IF YOU WANT IT USE IT).

A year later Bag Borrow or Steal has contacted me to try and make it my horrible experience with them right. However they have yet to do so. Read the updates on page 11 and 14.

Cindy I can't wait to hear how the bag is. If it comes in good conditon and you feel it's worth it. I have been afraid to try this and I know I wouldn't want to give the bag back. Can't wait to hear an update.

Awesome... hope the Speedy isn't too damaged... Will you purchase it still with slight damage? "Steal It" means to buy, I assume, correct? I'm curious if you'd buy if it were less than perfect.

Steal it does mean buy it.

If its severly damaged then there will be a phone call to them right away. Depending on the condition (and the price since the price is dependent on the condition) I will buy it.

I am curious of the price should you decide to steal!! I will love to learn how to do this. Right now, I am just a guest but will love to steal something from them!! Let us know!

I am courious about the steal as well....its like they mention it but its very vague...I will DEFINATELY keep everyone updated on every step of this process
