woah that is huge!! I don't think it looks silly on you but it is huge. That sucks about how scratched it is ... my antigua has a plate like that in the front and it has fewer scratches (from 11/05) so either they changed the material (unlikely) or people really throw those bags around!

At least the vachetta isn't stained. They must put something on it to slow down the patina.

But yea, carrying that for a month isn't worth the $200

I am surprised with the vachetta....it has an "interesting" feel to it....I cant really describe it. So am I crazy or can you all see the scratches. I mean, I know you have a faceplate on your antigua and if you have fewer scratches from 05 then Cherll is right, these renters abuse the bags

If you're used to carrying smaller bags or you're used to seeing someone carrying smaller bags it can seem a little strange.

20th week = Week of May 14th. That is in unacceptable condition for only being a little over 2 months old. My 6 month old speedy is in better condition and I carry it every day.

I am sending them all an email. This is bag is in worse condition than the azur speedy was in.

That sucks. I think it's a cute bag, a little big but cute. Boo on the condition. I mean, the smell and the scratches? I'm not sure what they can do to avoid it though. They're obviously slowing down the patina somehow creating a weird feel and cleaning somehow creating a smell. Maybe borrowing bags just isn't ever going to be a good business because it wouldn't make money - you'd have to get rid of the bags so fast due to their condition!

wow that bag is huge!!! I'm used to seeing you sport tiny bags, I think it's a really cute bag though, too bad it came all dinged up, and I agree if you rent it your not going to take great care of your bag

I was assured by our warehouse that all of these bags were in really great condition and likely the bag you were to receive was new. Of course, as we discussed on the phone, I really wanted you to have a great experience and to be thrilled. It absolutely does not benefit the company in the least if you have a poor experience, and I personally, the Chief Marketing Officer, would not have spent so much time trying to rectify this situation with you only to have your experience turn out to be a poor one.
I’m so sorry that this doesn’t seem to be the case. I will check with our Chicago warehouse as soon as they get in the morning to understand what went wrong. If this bag was never rented before, then I would like to get it back from you, so we can return it to LV for a full refund. If it was stored in its original packaging, could the smell be from Louis Vuitton?
I’m just trying to figure out what went wrong. I had 6 people working on this request to ensure it exceeded your expectations.

ummm do not insult LV, this is not a new bag....and the packaging was THEIR packaging!!!!!! NOT LVs!!!!!!

psh, does she think i dont know my bags?!?!?!?! this bag is clearly used!!!!! did she try to pull a fast on one me and send me a new bag just to give BBOS a good review???

so yea, now i have to go and take time out of my ridiculously crazy schedule to ship the bag back because someone sent me a used bag and they "want to make it right" by sending me something new to appear like their company really did revamp their refurbishing process. to me this is sneaky. i got a REAL glimpse of what Bag Borrow Steal is like, and I still think they are stealing customers' money.

Kat you are right, BBOS still gets a from me! And maybe I just have a really good trained eye, and we are all bag enthusiasts so this is not something we would spend our money on just to let it go away at the end of the month. Maybe for the untrained eye, or those who just want to show off for a bit, bag borrow or steal is a good thing, but for me its still a waste of money. They had another chance and they blew it, the shipping was ridiculous seeing as though it was just left on my doorstep even though the company ensures signature confirmation and the condition is disheartening.

Its a cute bag... but good grief, that's expensive. I'm still in the camp that would rather save my pennies and be able to use my own bag.

I think the smell is what would bother me the most, scratches aside (although I feel sorry for the poor thing) - alot of use know what a new mono bag smells like, and its not an overpowering smell. Kind of just leather and LV mono smell mixed together. If

I would have to open up a box and get hit with a "laundry flowery" smell... UGH. I absolutely dispise smells on my bags, other then their original intended smell... so I probably wouldn't be able to carry it if it gave your mom a headache, it would more then likely give me one too. (Moreover, LMB's smell doesn't sit well with me either... so I don't know if they just can't figure out a cleaning product that doesn't smell like an artificial smell or chemicals, it would be better if it were almost kind of odorless or EXTREMELY faint - something along those lines.)

ITA Cindy, I think for people that love bags, BBOS just won't work because we know WE take good care of our bags, but you've obviously seen firsthand that all people don't do that.

UPS is in strike discussions as we write - that could have something to do with their lack of attention in this matter.
I did talk to our head of warehouse operations this morning, and I learned that the bag was new has never been rented before.
I hope you enjoy it and get some fun use out of it this month - you looked great with it on your blog!

Its official, this company is a JOKE! this bag is not new like they claim. I am so disappointed in them and disgusted at their practices and lies. LV would never sell a bag like this. The only reason they wanted to make it right with me is because they must be losing out some revenue based on what I wrote, which is why they wanted me to write something good. They are doing nothing but giving me a headache.

Yeah Jodi doesn't get it ... it should NOT be that scratched up if it's new, and that's the point. It also shouldn't smell flowery, it should smell like leather.
