Especially with the mineral it is prone to scratches and things like that so it might look more used then a new one. I would buy a new one.
Unless you go through bags alot. You can always have a hot bag. But you would never have something to show for it if you keep exchanging bags. I hope you like the bag let us know about the experience Kat

EVEN with providing tracking info on returning the bag, they still charged me and the charge hasn't been removed even though they already got their bag. No one has even apologized for the way I was treated...I do not recomend Bag Borrow Steal....I recomend saving up and just buying the bag.

I don't like how the company treated you, and I really appreciate your advice. In the meantime, you've definitely inspired me to take a "girlfriend" road trip to some outlets. Christmas is right around the corner!

I just had to part with the purses I borrowed. I have a couple more on order. The place i'm at in my life right now, i'm doing much better "trying" things out. I get buyers remorse so much, plus the town i live in is REALLY limited in selection of all the designer names I'd like to try out. And this has been a pretty good experience so far for me. i want to buy a coach purse, but i just need to narrow down what i want.

So, for $44 dollars you get to use the bag for a week? Right? Does that include the 3-month membership fee, too? or are those fees separate? Then, if you decide to buy it, does the $44 apply to the cost of the purchase?

Personally, I'd rather save my money and buy a new bag. Just the thought of other people renting or using the bag makes my stomach flip. Have you read the article "Your Purse Could be Making you Sick." Search Google for the article. I can't put links in my posts yet.

Why not just save for a few weeks and buy a new one? Seems like membership fees plus rental fees could add up to the cost of a new bag in a matter of a few weeks...just a thought.

that 44 is in addition to the membership fees.

you are definately on the right track, it may just be best to save up and buy the bag.

there are SOOO many germs in purses, espically if you put it on the floor in a public restroom, my bags are always sitting in a chair next to me OR on my lap....i HATE all the germs and i would hate to think of the treatment that some of the bags get before you would get them at your door.....

something about bag borrow steal just creeps me out a bit.

BUT on the flip side i can see, hey if you want to borrow a chanel for a week or two thats a LOT cheaper (including all the fees) since those babies are well over 2000 a peice.

I guess I'm just too practical. The thing that freaks me out about borrowing a bag another stranger used is "what was carried in that bag?" I carry my puppies around in mine..... hahahaa... but they are mine..... hahahaha.....

I guess borrowing a Chanel for a special occassion MIGHT be a good idea, but then again, it's just not practical to me. I'd rather save my hard earned money and buy one fancy bag for special occasions that goes with everything I wear!

I know this may sound old fashioned but why try to be someone you aren't.

First post here. :) I was intrigued by your post because I was planning to sign up with them to try out a few bags that are on my wishlist, but I definitely will not after reading your post. saving is the way to go.

I did want to explain my little theory about the Steal It price. They probably think of each bag as a work horse - like a rental car that brings in a set figure each month and that they give maintenance to.

Each bag gives them a set income amount each month. If they sell it to you, they are taking into account all the neagtives: that they have to now source another bag, they invest time into buying another bag, and they will have lost revenue on any potential rentals during the replacement process of the bag you bought.

It's like when you lose a DVD at the movie rental place. Even if it's scratched up, you still have to pay full price or sometimes even more on the DVD due to the lost revenue. That's my theory. They don't want you to technically 'buy' the bag, but if you decide to, you'll pay way over the retail price for it.
