I think the attitude is that price tags are "unsightly". That if you're shopping in a store such as Neiman Marcus or Saks that money isn't an object for you.

Even the beauty products at NM didn't have price tags on them.
I was looking at some Kiehls products and almost felt embarrased when I asked for prices. Usually, there is a list near the displays.

but seriously...even if i had ALL the money in the world...id still want to know the price!

The tote price isn't too bad at all.... Hmmm....

I was thinking about getting either the Petite Shopping Tote or Grand Shopping Tote, and I think the prices were around $1275 and $1675.... but that might have been before the price increase.

I need to check out the Chanel booths when I go shopping with my MI shopping ladies! ;)

^I love the Timeless clutch too. It's so elegant. I just have absolutely no occasion to use it, ever. *L* But still, maybe someday.

I would highly recommend the GST. I prefer it's size over the PST, but both are adorable. I quoted the price after tax here in TX recently because I was trying to get an idea if I could afford one before the next increase (the answer was no *sigh*) but after tax the GST ended up being between $2100 and $2200.

are the chanel bags cheaper in paris?

I've heard a theory from a few people, that maybe Chanel keeps raising their prices in the U.S. because of the euro to dollar conversion. I think the bags end up being pretty equal, and maybe only slightly differently priced now between here and France, but I don't know if they're a little more than us, or a little less.

Hello, Chanel newbie here...(Hi B4B!!) Can anyone tell me how much is the retail price of a Chanel medium quilted flap bag? Does the color matter or not? Is the price different between a black flap and the yellow flap? TIA!
